Accomplishments

Waumbe nominated as a year Beyond program facilitator in 2021 by the Department of Education Western Cape in partnership with Community Chest and Yearbeyond to facilitate an after and during school learner assistance program. This program has facilitated an employment of 28 young people between the age of 18 and 25, which is a huge boast in addressing the youth unemployment.
Waumbe Co-founder and CEO, honoree of JCI South Africa Top Ten young outstanding persons of the year 2020.
Annually facilitating youth employment through learnerships and partnerships more than 80 people getting employed 80% of them are living with Disabilities.
Assisted Fisantekraal High to improve Matric Pass Rate from 66.1% in 2018 to 76.2% Pass Rate in 2019 10% Matric Pass rate Improvement and 85% Pass Rate in 2020, 9% Matric Pass rate improvement this due to Waumbe Tutoring and Societal Reform Intervention.
Made it into the final round of PEPFAR HIV and AIDS Community Grants Funding Selection Process 2019.

Achieved the Community Chest NGO Compliance Criteria in 2019.
Achieved End User Level 3 Computing (IT) South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) Accreditation 2019.
Introduced new project Bullying project, to educate young people about Bullying and facilitate programs to assist 12000 young people to deal with the bullying 2019.
Successfully obtained a property in the Fisantekraal community, renovated and developed it into a multipurpose Waumbe Youth Centre that is disability friendly 2018.
Achieved the Bronze Award for Youth Excellence from the Western Cape Department of Social Development under the Building, Education, Training and Skills Development Capacity Category in 2017.
Assisted learners in obtaining bursaries & paid application fees for over 600 youths since 2014. Out of these, 75 youths have been successfully enrolled in tertiary institutions.
The team consists of 22 passionate, skilled, and experienced youth volunteers committed to the development of the youth in Fisantekraal 2014.
